Since then, it has grown into a proper, professional organization. From 6 members to 12+ members at present. The club is comprised from all over Central Manitoba. One of our biggest selling features is our field, Grabber Green, located approx. 7 km east of portage and 3 km south (click here for the Grabber Green Page). Grabber Green is a 40 acre grass field surrounded by farmland, there is no overhead wires, only one building (you would have to aim at it), and groomed landing strips. During the day it is used for full-size helicopter training by the Canadian Forces, but after 6:00pm it's all ours. Membership: to the Club costs $25.00 per year, Junior members $10.00 (18 yrs and younger), due at the beginning of the year. To fly at our field or any other field in Canada/US, you will also need MAAC insurance. It is the Official Liability Insurance for Model Aircraft, costs for 2007 are $75.00/year ($203.00 for three years). The MAAC insurance is available from MAAC Web site www.maac.ca/ Meetings: Are held at 7 pm, on the 3rd Wed of every even month, at Off The Top Barber shop located on Saskatchewan Ave..
