One of our biggest selling features is our Airfield located with a 10 minute drive from Portage la Prairie Manitoba. It's a 40 acre grass plot primarily used by the Canada Forces Base and Allied Wings (base located 7 km away) for helicopter training. Totally surrounded by farmland and no overhead wires to give you an open view of your aircraft at all times. We have access to the field during the week after 6pm and all day on weekends. The field is kept in top notch working order due to it's commercial needs, this keeps our club in situation were we can concentrate on flying rather than the normal field upkeep duties. All of this is made possible by Allied Wings [Canadian Wings Aviation Training Centre] over the years they have always graciously donated their field to our club for use during their off times.
